Terms and Conditions
Organizer: The competition is organized by The Balgarth Pines restaurant, located at 8 Dunure Road, Ayr, South Ayrshire KA7 4HR, hereafter referred to as “the Organizer.”
Competition Details: The competition aims to raise money for Cash 4 Kids, with the opportunity for participants to win a brand new Composite Rock Door, provided by Caledonian Windows. To enter the competition, participants must answer the question provided correctly. All ticket proceeds will go to charity. The winner will be announced at our Cash for Kids event on March 30th, 2024.
Entry Fee: To enter the competition, participants must purchase a ticket. The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Cash 4 Kids.
Donations:
Doubling of Entries: Participants have the option to donate an additional amount along with their entry fee. For every donation made of £10 or more, the participant’s entry ticket number will be entered into the draw twice, effectively doubling their chance to win. Each donation meeting or exceeding the £10 threshold will result in an additional entry being allocated to the participant for the draw.
Eligibility: Participants who choose to make a donation of £10 or more and receive double entries must adhere to the same eligibility criteria and entry requirements outlined in these terms and conditions.
Effect on Winning Chances: Donations of £10 or more and the resulting double entries will significantly increase the participant’s chances of winning the prize, as their entry ticket number will be included in the draw twice for each qualifying donation made.
Non-Donation Entries: Participants who do not wish to make a donation or whose donation does not meet the £10 threshold will still be eligible to enter the competition by paying the standard entry fee of £4.99. Their entry ticket number will be entered into the draw once, as per the standard entry rules.
Transparency: The Organizer will ensure transparency in the donation process by clearly documenting all donations of £10 or more received and the corresponding allocation of double entries to participants.
Purpose of Donations: Donations received will contribute to the overall fundraising efforts for Cash 4 Kids, helping to support their charitable initiatives and programs. Participants are encouraged to donate generously to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
By choosing to make a donation of £10 or more and receive double entries, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and acknowledge the charitable purpose of their donation.
Free Entry Option: Participants may also enter the competition for free by sending their answer to the provided question via post to the address listed on The Balgarth Pines restaurant’s “Contact Us” page before March 27th, 2024. Each entry must include the participant’s name, contact information, and the correct answer to the competition question.
Eligibility: The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 and over, excluding employees of The Balgarth Pines restaurant and their immediate family members.
Winner Selection: The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the deadline. The decision of the Organizer is final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
Notification: The winner will be notified via email or telephone using the contact details provided at the time of entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Prize: The prize consists of a brand new Composite Rock Door, provided by Caledonian Windows. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
Publicity: By entering the competition, participants agree to allow the Organizer to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the competition, including announcing the winner on social media, the Organizer’s website, and other marketing materials.
Data Protection: Any personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without the participant’s consent.
Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
